11th pair this year! I love these so much! It is the color that is great so I hope they don't fade. Still have to take a picture. Started 3-22-08 Finished April-1-08 except for hiding strings and taking pictures.
Color is Mustang Sally
Knit Picks needle 2.5 (1 1/2)
Cast on 72 with 36 per side by short row toe
Left 14 for center of toe
Increased 2 on instep side when toes increases were done (38)
First time I did this and really love the way it is coming out as a sock. It helps a lot for high instep or fat feet.
Left 10 for center of heel
Increased again on 38 in step side to 40 following the heel completion. This make it work great for larger ankles.
Straight knitting then K2 P2 ribbing for 14 rows. It might have been more but I pretty much ran out of yarn. I have a very tiny bit left. Maybe one more row but I was too afraid to try it. Wish they would come out with a bigger hank with about 1/4 more than the size they have now. It would be even better if it was only 1/4 the price of one so you wouldn't have to buy a whole hank. It would be the price of one whole one with 1/4 added with 1/4 more. Can dream.
