Made 9 pairs so far this year but will only be posting a few with pictures! The rest were from left over yarn and they didn't come out too pretty looking!

21 pairs of socks in 2010!
Unless I forgot to post a pair but if I did it will not get counted since I believe it has to be posted by the 31st or it doesn't count! The pictures can follow later! That counts! I use to enjoying posting more but now it seems like a chore. I think it has to do with my current illness! I aquired a few more skeins this year and at times I wish I hadn't since I am having so little energy to work on socks or anything. I guess I am having a pity party!

19 & 20th for the year! Yes, I am counting baby socks! I normally make adult socks with lots of stitches like 76 to 88 so I think I earned a few baby socks in the mix! Besides these are special baby socks they go to my brother who had his first baby recently!
Sonnet Juliet is the name!
Washed and ready to go!

Socks that Rock *Sugarplums*
10th pair of socks for 2010 for my Aunt Jean! Picture to follow in awhile! They are done!
When I look at these I think of purple grapes and green vines!
This was the only pair that fit her in the instep. The other 4 were short row heel. They fit beautifully everywhere else. I didn't have her foot to try them on before she came from out of state! Next time I will have to make a wider instep.

March 4th & misc
Missed posting on my birthday! I was hoping to start a pair of socks for me on my birthday but I missed the date so I am going to dig and find something I like in my stash and make one now! Need a new pair since I only have 5 pairs and I got a hole in 2 different pairs using them for house socks! I knew better but my feet were very cold so I wore them anyway!
Most of my knitting time is being used up for repairing and lengthening socks for my 7 year old. She has so many nice knee socks I made that it is a shame to waste them. It is not fun work but at least it doesn't take as long as knitting a whole new pair. Hubby got another hole in another pair of his Thick and Quick Wool-Ease house socks. I can't believe they don't last longer than a couple of months. I used the smallest need possible. I thought my hands and arms might fall off at times. I am going to try using Knit picks Bulky yarn for house socks next time! See if it lasts longer! I know I could add nylon to the foot but I am not wanting to go to the extra work. If I find my other book on knitting I am going to make a different kind of foot! One that can be replaced without so much trouble.

Last day of 2009
I made 15 completed pairs this year! We are considering getting pizza for dinner tonight! Lost a bunch of coupons due to not going to the store before this. So many places closed early today!
See you next year with more completed socks!

My mother's birthday! Lorna's Laces - Sweetie -

13th of the year! Toe Up! She wasn't able to wear them for the picture so I had to use cardboard to show them off! I always wonder what colors others see when they look at my blog! She loves them so that makes me happy no matter what color they are! I am also working on a lace pair but it won't be done by the end the year.
Short row toe and heel! Magic cast on with 0 needle change to 2.25 after cast on and then change to 2.50 after heel & leg up to cuff is complete! Decrease 4 each side to 78 total to cast off.

reknitted Lorna's Laces - Whitewater
Reknitted both socks due to holes in heels! Picture here is the original socks! Scanned only one for show! My mother called and they now have another hole after all that work. Actually, it isn't just a hole but the heel wore through. I knew it was a possibly due to the yarn not having any nylon. It was very soft. Soft yarn seems to wear faster! Over all the Lorna's sport wears much faster than the sock yarn. Will think twice about ripping out the any of my socks and reknitting
them due to holes. It will depend on the yarn and past history of the yarn in question. Gotta find another way to make them useful when they have a hole and are not wearable anymore.
